What is tool argument validation?
Tool argument validation: Checking that the arguments a model produced for a tool call have the right names, types and allowed values before running the tool. Models sometimes output malformed or unsafe values, so validation turns silent failures into clear errors the model can correct.
Tool argument validation: an example
A booking tool requires date in YYYY-MM-DD; if the model sends 'next Friday', validation rejects it and returns an error message.
