What is time series?
Time series: A sequence of measurements recorded in time order, usually at regular intervals such as every hour or day. Because neighbouring values tend to be related, the order carries information, and ordinary methods that shuffle data can give misleading results.
Time series: an example
Daily UPI transaction counts for a bank over 3 years form a series of about 1,095 values.
