What is session-based recommendation?
Session-based recommendation: Recommending the next item using only the sequence of actions within the current visit, without needing a user profile. It suits anonymous users or short-lived interest, and is typically modelled with sequence models.
Session-based recommendation: an example
An anonymous visitor viewed three trekking shoes; the system suggests socks and a rain jacket.
