What is confidence level?
Confidence level: The long-run percentage of intervals, built the same way from repeated samples, that would contain the true value. Common choices are 90, 95 and 99 percent; a higher level gives a wider interval.
Confidence level: an example
At 95 percent, about 95 of 100 independently built intervals would cover the true value and about 5 would miss.
