What is validation curve?
Validation curve: A plot of training and validation scores as one hyperparameter varies, such as tree depth or regularisation strength. It reveals the range where the model underfits, the range where it overfits and the sweet spot between.
Validation curve: an example
Plotting scores for depth 1 to 15 shows validation accuracy peaking at depth 6 while training accuracy keeps climbing.
