What is DOR (diagnostic odds ratio)?
Diagnostic odds ratio (also called DOR): A single number for a test's discriminating power: the odds of a positive result in truly positive cases divided by the odds in truly negative cases, equal to (TP * TN) / (FP * FN). Higher is better, and 1 means the test tells nothing.
Diagnostic odds ratio: an example
For TP = 15, TN = 970, FP = 10, FN = 5, DOR = (15 * 970) / (10 * 5) = 291.
