What is multiprocessing?
Multiprocessing: Running work in several separate processes, each with its own memory, so that computation can use multiple CPU cores at the same time. It avoids sharing problems between threads but has more overhead to start and to pass data between processes.
Multiprocessing: an example
Using Python's multiprocessing Pool with 4 workers can process 4 image folders on 4 cores at once.
