What is genetic algorithm?
Genetic algorithm: An evolution-inspired search that maintains a population of candidate solutions and repeatedly selects the fittest, combines them (crossover), and randomly alters them (mutation) to produce better generations. It needs no gradients.
Genetic algorithm: an example
To tune a delivery schedule, encode each schedule as a list, keep the 20 best of 100 each generation, and breed them.
