What is euler's number?
Euler's number: The constant e, about 2.71828, defined as the limit of (1 + 1/n)^n as n grows without bound. It is the unique base for which an exponential function has slope equal to its own value, so it is the natural base for calculus.
Euler's number: an example
If Rs 1 earned 100% annual interest compounded continuously, it would grow to about Rs 2.718 after one year.
