What is constraint?
Constraint: A condition that candidate solutions must satisfy, such as an equation or inequality on the variables. Such conditions shrink the set of allowed answers and often change where the best answer lies.
Constraint: an example
Maximise profit subject to 2x + 3y <= 120, where x and y are units of two products and 120 is the available labour hours.
