What is homomorphic encryption?
Homomorphic encryption: A form of encryption that lets a computer perform calculations directly on encrypted data and produce an encrypted result that, when decrypted, matches the result of computing on the original data. It allows outsourced processing without exposing the data, but is very slow.
Homomorphic encryption: an example
A bank sends encrypted account features to a cloud service that scores them without ever seeing the numbers, and only the bank can decrypt the score.
