What is CORS?
CORS (also called Cross-Origin Resource Sharing): Cross-Origin Resource Sharing is a browser mechanism by which a server states, through response headers, which other origins may call it from web pages. Without permission, browsers block the page from reading the response. It is enforced by browsers, not by scripts like curl.
CORS: an example
An API sets Access-Control-Allow-Origin: https://myapp.in so only pages from myapp.in can read its responses.
