What is load factor?
Load factor: For a hash table, the ratio of stored entries to available slots: load factor = n / m. A high value means more collisions, so implementations resize and rehash the table when it crosses a threshold.
Load factor: an example
A table with 75 entries in 100 slots has load factor 0.75. Adding entries beyond a chosen limit triggers doubling to 200 slots.
