What is bandwidth?
Bandwidth: The maximum amount of data that a connection can carry per unit of time, usually in bits per second. It sets the capacity of the link, while latency measures delay, so a link can be wide but still slow to respond.
Bandwidth: an example
A 100 Mbps connection can carry at most about 12.5 megabytes of data every second.
